Since being elected to KISD Trustee position #3, I’ve served with excellence and commitment for students, educators, and our community. I’m currently serving as president of the board in my very first term. I believe if you study the record, you will see the board I have the honor to lead has done incredible work for the students of Klein ISD – even while navigating an unprecedented global pandemic!

2015 Bond
We completed the 2015 Bond, during which the max tax rate assessed was 2.9 cents despite having a community authorization of 9.9 cents.
Employee Raises
We’ve given teachers and employees raises, ensuring they are at the top of area compensation.
Financial Integrity
We’ve earned the Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas – Superior Rating.
SMART Spending
We were rated by Texas Smart Schools as a “Very Low Spending” district, which means KISD spending is very low for the incredible student outcomes and academic performance compared to other districts.
STOP CRT
We’ve adopted policies completely restricting Critical Race Theory from the KISD curriculum in alignment with Texas law.
LEARNING DURING COVID
We had one of the lowest COVID learning losses of any district in the entire region.
Professional Careers
We’ve started over 50 professional certification & licensing programs for students to earn by the time of their graduation.
Personalized Education
We’ve created 200 unique pathways for students to pursue and personalize their education.
College Degrees
Our partnership with the Lone Star College system enables us to offer advanced pathways so students in specific programs can earn their Associates degrees before high school graduation.
Highly Rated
In 2019, every Klein ISD campus met the Texas Education Agency standard, and Klein ISD earned
91 out of 100 points.

Controlled facility costs as demonstrated by the Benchmark4Excellence results for the 2018-19 school year (one year lag in reporting). Klein’s $3.04 total cost per square foot for facility operations sets the standard for other districts participating in the program.
